SMS Terms of Service

These terms apply to all text messages sent through the Retention IQ platform on behalf of our customer businesses to their own clients. The sending number is +1 (855) 778-2061, a toll-free number registered to TechStack LLC for use by our customers.
1. What this service is
Retention IQ is a B2B SaaS platform used by service businesses — medical spas, dental practices, salons, fitness studios, massage therapists, and similar — to communicate with their own past and current clients. Messages sent through the platform are always on behalf of one of our customer businesses; they are never marketing for TechStack itself.
2. What messages you will receive
If you have opted in to receive text messages from one of our customer businesses, you may receive any of the following:
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Cadence-based check-ins (e.g., "It's been six weeks — ready for your next fill?")
- Promotional offers and seasonal campaigns from the specific business you opted in with
- Service updates, schedule changes, and operational notices
Every message identifies the business sending it. You will not receive messages from any business you have not explicitly opted in with.
3. Frequency
Up to 2 messages per month from any given business you have opted in with. Cadence-based reminders only fire when you are due based on the specific service you previously received.
4. How opt-in is collected
Consent to receive SMS is collected by the individual business (not by TechStack directly), through one of the following mechanisms:
- A consent checkbox on the business's intake or booking form, with explicit language describing the SMS messages to be received
- A signed paper intake form at the business's physical location
- Verbal consent at point of service, recorded in the business's records system
A sample of the standard web opt-in form is available at retentioniq.io/sms-opt-in-example. Consent is never assumed; pre-checked consent boxes are not used.
5. How to stop receiving messages
Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages from that business, ever. Opt-out is immediate and permanent unless you re-subscribe.

7. Carrier rates and supported carriers
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Retention IQ does not charge end recipients for messages. Supported on all major US carriers: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, and most regional carriers.
8. Data handling
Phone numbers, opt-in records, and message history are stored in our database (US-region, encrypted at rest) and access-restricted to the individual business that owns the relationship with you. We do not sell, share, or rent recipient data to any third party. Full data handling practices are covered in our Privacy Policy.
9. Contact
For SMS-related questions not specific to a particular business: hello@retentioniq.io. For account- or appointment-specific questions, contact the business that sent the message directly (their name and contact info are included in every send).

These terms are version-controlled. Significant changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Substantive changes to the consent mechanism or message frequency will be re-acknowledged through your opt-in record before continuing.
